Our team offers mature, experienced practitioners. We have skills across all ages of people and medical conditions. We happily refer to other skilled practitioners and put effort into following up with you. We see us as part of your medical team and look forward to working together in the interests of your health.
Who We Are:
Dr Stephen Moulding
MB BS Sydney
Dr Stephen studied medicine at the University of Sydney but learned how to be a doctor in Parkes, a large rural town in western NSW. In 10 years as a country GP he provided a wide range of hospital and practice services including obstetrics, anaesthetics, surgery and emergency medicine. He also ran remote clinics and travelled thousands of dusty kilometres providing rural medical care. Dr Stephen enjoys the big country town of Canberra but keeps his rural connection through a series of practice kelpies and border collies. Our current dog, Gus, joins Dr Stephen daily at the surgery keeping an eye on things from his sunny spot nearby.
Dr Vasundhara Naik
MB BS (India)
Dr Vasu brings experience and is very skilled at minor surgery as well as providing empathetic patient care. She is an insightful diagnostician and works with her patients helping them to be active in managing their wellbeing. Dr Vasu is blessed with an optimistic, sparkling approach that reassures younger patients. She also has a special affinity with the elderly and is respectful in the care she offers. When not at work, Dr Vasu is busy with friends and family and enjoys exploring Canberra and surrounds.
Dr Susan Boden
Dr Susan works with our patients experiencing psychological stress in her roles as a ‘lived experience practitioner’ (the internationally recognised descriptor). Her title Dr refers to her postgraduate research qualifications. She is NOT a medical doctor. She co-ordinates treatment plans and advocates for patients in the health and community system. Susan is a member of the Beyond Blue Speakers’ Bureau. She holds qualifications in Training and Assessment (Adult), Mental Health Practice, Circle of Security (R) Parenting (TM) Facilitation, Beat It [Diabetes] Program and Polestar Pilates [Mat]. Susan works part time but is on call during the week to provide support to our General Practitioners and patients.
Nurse Ruth has built a rapport with our senior patients and supports planning for their medical needs. A supporter of healthy ageing at home, Ruth makes a yearly home visit to patients aged 75 and over. With a long career in nursing and a passion for country living, Ruth’s common sense and warm personality fits our Narrabundah community.
Jane & Jaqui
Our Practice Manager Jane has a clear vision to provide care for our patients while also managing a very busy front-desk. Jane makes our patients feel welcome and valued and makes our Narrabundah world go around.
Our Receptionist Jacqui is a quiet achiever, whose attention to detail supports our practice to meet the highest professional standards. Jacqui’s tranquil personality contributes to our calm waiting room, important for people feeling unwell.
